Lainey
Terms of Service
Last updated: 20 June 2026
These terms govern your use of Lainey, an AI operating system for business owners operated by Jess Clark (“Lainey”, “we”, “us”) from Australia. By using Lainey you agree to them.
Using Lainey
You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding agreement. You are responsible for your account, for keeping your login secure, and for everything done under it.
What Lainey does
Lainey helps you plan, draft, and manage your business and content, and - when you connect third-party apps and approve an action - can carry out tasks on those apps on your behalf. We may add, change, or remove features over time.
Connected accounts and actions
- When you connect a third-party app, you authorise Lainey to access it within the permissions you grant, and you confirm you are allowed to connect that account.
- Lainey only takes an outward action (such as publishing a post or firing an automation) when you direct it to and confirm it. You are responsible for the actions you approve.
- Your use of each connected app remains subject to that app’s own terms.
Your content
You own the information and content you put into Lainey and the outputs created for you. You grant us the permission needed to host and process that content so we can provide the service. You are responsible for ensuring your content and your use of Lainey are lawful and do not infringe anyone’s rights.
AI-generated output
Lainey uses AI to generate drafts and suggestions. AI output can be inaccurate or unsuitable, so you should review everything before you publish, send, or rely on it. You are responsible for what you choose to use, and Lainey’s output is not professional (legal, financial, medical, or other) advice.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Lainey for anything unlawful, harmful, or abusive.
- Infringe the rights of others or send spam.
- Attempt to break, overload, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorised access to the service.
- Misuse a connected account or breach the terms of a connected platform.
Payment
Paid plans are billed through our checkout provider (ThriveCart) on the terms shown at purchase. Unless stated otherwise or required by law, payments are non-refundable. You can cancel a subscription as described at checkout or by contacting us.
Availability
We work to keep Lainey running well but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and features that depend on third-party platforms rely on those platforms being available.
Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, Lainey is provided “as is” without warranties, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss arising from your use of AI output or connected third-party platforms. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that cannot be excluded.
Suspension and termination
You can stop using Lainey and delete your account at any time (see our Data Deletion instructions). We may suspend or end access if these terms are breached or to protect the service and its users.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date above, and continued use of Lainey means you accept the updated terms.
